Move purchase requests from intake to decision

Keep purchasing requests connected to vendor records, budgets, and approval policy. The agent gathers the required details, checks whether a purchase can proceed, and gives approvers the context they need when a request falls outside standard rules.

How it works

A requester submits a purchase order request through Slack, Teams, or the Purchase Order Request Form, creating a tracked request row. The agent confirms the request type, retrieves context from procurement records, budget data, and finance system, checks the relevant policy source, and asks for any missing details in chat.

Where policy permits, the agent completes low-value standard purchases with approved vendor, budget, and cost center data and records the outcome without waiting for manual handling. The agent escalates new vendors, high-value purchases, missing budget owner, or policy exceptions to the responsible owner with a decision summary and supporting context.

An approver reviews the escalation in chat or the PO Approval Queue, then approves, rejects, or returns it for more information.

Where people stay in control

People remain responsible for approval exceptions; risky or ambiguous requests.
