Prepare accounts and access for new starters
Coordinate the accounts, baseline access, and device readiness a new starter needs. The agent gathers the required information, checks onboarding requirements, and keeps the work connected through a tracked request.
How it works
A requester submits a new starter account setup through Slack, Teams, or the New Starter Setup Form, creating a tracked request row. The agent confirms the request type, retrieves context from HRIS, identity provider, and onboarding ticketing, checks the relevant policy source, and asks for any missing details in chat.
Where policy permits, the agent completes standard starter setup when the HR record, role, and start date match onboarding policy and records the outcome without waiting for manual handling. The agent escalates missing HR data, non-standard access, urgent starts, or contractor exceptions to the responsible owner with a decision summary and supporting context.
An approver reviews the escalation in chat or the Onboarding Readiness Queue, then approves, rejects, or returns it for more information.
Where people stay in control
People remain responsible for approval exceptions; risky or ambiguous requests.
